to Inspectors directly.

Buyer Beware and Be Aware of
The Visual Inspection Agreement
 (used by franchized inspection firms)
 limits the Inspector's liability to
 the cost of the inspection, says that
 the Inspector is not responsible for
 anything he / she misses and requires
 that before any legal action can be
 taken against the Inspector, the
 Purchaser must present his / her case
 to an Arbitrator.
 
WETT Inspections
 It is much more benefitial for a Buyer
 to require that a WETT-certifed chimney
 sweep clean and inspect wood-stoves,
 fireplaces, fireplace inserts, pellet
 stoves, wood-furnaces and their vent
 connectors, flues and chimneys than to
 ask for a WETT-certified Inspector.
 WHY? A WETT-certified Inspector is
 not going to clean these items in order
 to provide proper verification.
